Meet our Featured Artist:
Caylin Jayde
Caylin’s work explores environmental concerns, human and nature relationships, and the balance of her local ecosystem. She has worked with biologists, naturalists, and enthusiasts to gain a better understanding of the species that inhabit her surroundings. Through the visual language of painting and illustration, Caylin portrays the beauty of species that are less common, misunderstood, threatened, and endangered.
Caylin was asked to be IPN's featured artist because we feel her work embodies our mission statement: to preserve, protect, and educate about prairie.
Caylin received her BFA in painting at the University of Northern Iowa. She works from her home studio in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
